My name is Betty and I am a barker.  There I’ve taken the first step and admitted it.  Some would call me yappy, chatty, talkative, longwinded or loquacious. I just love the sound of my own voice and we Poms are a breed that are known for our vocal prowess.

Now that you have seen my photos and all agree that I am a cutie-patootie, let me explain why I am at Animatch.  I jumped out of my human’s arms and had a bad landing.  I broke my leg and I was taken to the Vet, but my human could not afford to have my leg fixed.  I was devastated!  Luckily, I was brought to Animatch and I’ll be as good as new in no time.  I am looking for a safe, loving home, with a comfy couch!

Back to the barking.  It’s my way of communicating and it’s up to you to figure out why.  Sometimes it’s play, excitement, or simply alerting you to the presence of danger (there are some wicked squirrels out there).  Other reasons could be anxiety and just plain old boredom.  You know small dogs need to be kept busy – their mind and body.  Maybe had I been on the ground, I would not have jumped out of my human’s arms.  I have legs, let me use them.  Let’s go for long walks, if I get tired … I’ll let you know.

By the way Poms are a ball of fluff and need brushing a few times a week.  We are a breed that sheds and if you don’t want fur, a Pomeranian is not for you.  I should NEVER be shaved as my coat may never grow back the way it once was.  And if it eventually does, it will take a very long time.

I absolutely adore human companionship.  In fact, I would much prefer being your one and only so I can hog all the attention.  I have so must love to bestow on you, I will be enough.  I’m loyal, gentle, sweet, and cute as a button!  If you are willing to be the family to commit to me until the end of my days, please fill in an Application Form and make it happen.
