So many breeds have a purpose – a Lab retrieves, a Border Collie herds, an Anatolian Shepherd protects the herd, a Newf will perform water rescue.   My primary role is that of a devoted companion to my beloved family.  My sole job is to providing affection, amusement, and joy my humans.

No two ways about it, you will have your job to do as well.  This luxurious coat and plumed tail are going to need your regular attention; you must learn to cope.  Brushing a few times a week to prevent a matted mess is a must. Shaving is not an option – so don’t even think about it!  Twice a year, expect a heavier shedding; you might want to take me to a groomer to have my coat blown.

My breed is very smart, sociable, and friendly.  Now I will need daily exercise and some playtime but I don’t have to be running any marathons or doing any extreme dog sports!  My happiest times will be when we are together.  Since my leash manners are non-existent, it would be a good idea to sign us up for some training.  Oh, and teaching me to keep all fours firmly planted on the ground should be on your wish list too.

One more thing about my breed – we are known for our endearing smiles.  So, if I curl lips and show my teeth, I am trying to charm you with my happy and submissive grin.  No need to go running off!

I can provide you with lots of information on my breed but I can’t tell you much about my previous life.  My brother (Kismet) and I (Beauregard) were dropped off at a Pet Supply Store.  Animatch is apparently the place to be when the rug is pulled out from under you.  We are on the lookout for a family who knows and loves my breed or has at least done their research.  If you feel you can offer me the home I deserve, fill in the Application Form.
