Animatch was trying very hard to have Winnie and her brother, Pooh, adopted together.  They acted like a single puzzle piece; Winnie in the lead and Pooh never far behind.   They have been with us for nearly three months with no prospect of an adoption in sight.  

Animatch understands that it takes longer for pairs to be adopted; but in this day and age, less and less people are interested in adopting one dog, let alone two.  Prospects for these two are limited and is it fair to leave them in a high stress environment rather than separate them.  We feel the kinder option would be to let them find a home, each on their own.

Winnie is the more outgoing of the two.  She may still need some work on toilet training but with another dog in the home to show her the ropes, she will catch on very quickly.  She has come a long way in this journey and much as it will be difficult for us to see them go apart, we must be fair.  An experienced adult home would best suit her.  Because of her upbringing and lack of socialization, another well balanced dog in the home would be an asset.

Winnie and Pooh arrived at Animatch with hearts full of fear and bodies neglected, but at just two years old, they have plenty of time for a fresh start. While their past remains a mystery, it seems neglect rather than mistreatment shaped their early years.

Under the care of an experienced foster mom, they're discovering a world filled with new experiences. From the basics like toilet training to the joys of toys, everything is a new adventure for them. Socialization and trust in humans are skills they're learning, and with each passing day, they're gaining confidence.

These two are good with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a stable canine companion. They're also exploring the outdoors, learning that the world can be a fun and exciting place.

Winnie and Pooh's foster mom believes they need a special kind of person to take them under their wing. Someone experienced, patient, and committed to helping them take their next big step toward a brighter future.
