About

Strider

Strider is my name and I made the long trip from Whapmagoostui with my brothers, Watton and Vito.  Someday we hope to end this senseless overpopulation problem with spay neuter clinics in areas like Whapmagoostui that don’t have access to veterinary care.

Well, you might call me the “bossy” or “pushy” one of the gang.  I prefer to think of myself as assertive and self-assured; you know a take charge type.  I tend to be the pup who pushes out the door first, who always tries for the best sleeping spot, and who is first to the food bowl.  Does it mean that I will a problem dog – absolutely not.

Just so you know that behind this angelic face, there is a puppy with a lot of character.  For that reason, an experienced family would be better suited to adopting me.  Training would be highly recommended; like all puppies I am very food motivated and that really helps in positive reinforcement training.  Being a Northern boy means that daily walks and activity in all kinds of weather is a must.  I would excel at skijoring and will be the right age for it next winter.

I’m looking for the family who is ready to commit to me for the next 10 to 15 years.  Not until you move, not until you have a baby, not until you get a promotion – forever!  It’s a promise that you must make the day you take me home.

If you feel that you are my happily ever after, then tell me all about yourself.  Fill in the Application Form and let’s make this happen.
