UPDATE – March 13, 2024

Hi from Sky!  I’ve been hanging out at my Foster Mom’s for a couple of weeks and wanted to give you an update.  My FM says I am pretty chill in the house, and have just figured out what a dog bed is all about.  For the first week I just slept on the floor or carpet, but then she pulled out another “orthopedic” bed, and it was like a cloud.  It was so nice; I abandoned my FM and went downstairs to sleep on it overnight.

I love my walks, and if you are brave enough, or silly enough to just leash me up and go, I will drag you everywhere.  My foster mom has something called a Halti, and she says it is “magic”!  I’m not leash aggressive, but I do like to sniff.  If you want a jogging partner, I am NOT your girl!

I stay off the furniture, not food aggressive, and really have no clue what to do with dog toys. I am food motivated, so training is fun, however it might be best to train outside, because hanging onto a treat too long triggers some serious drool. I like the car, but haven't quite figured out the turns and stops.  My balance is a bit off.

I have the potential to be a dog park girl, as long as the dog park is well run with responsible guardians.  I like to do zoomies, and not terribly interested in squirrels.  Cats, on the other hand, are something to be chased.

Did I mention that I love, love, love my new dog bed?  Please fill out an application form if you think you and I could be best buddies.

Despite recent challenges, Sky's spirit shines through. She is sweet, gentle, and resilient.  She appreciates a calm environment and is looking for a loving home where she can find solace.  She finds herself at Animatch after losing her human.  The past days have been tough – from the loss of her human to the bustling environment of the SPCA – Roussillon and then Animatch.  She’s been through a lot, but her spirit remains strong.

Sky would do best in a quiet adult home or one with older children.  If there are other dogs, they should be respectful of her age and quiet nature.  Sky would prefer a serene atmosphere where she can unwind and feel safe.  Her true personality will then emerge.

Sky does not seem to have had the best of care throughout her life.  She presently has some skin issues that are being treated with medication.  Good food, exercise, and some TLC will no doubt also help.

Sky enjoys going for walks and spending time with her human.  Her sweet nature and devoted companionship will make her family have no regrets in adopting her.  Despite the challenges she's faced, she's ready to bring love and companionship into a new home.

Give Sky the chance to rebuild her trust and find comfort in a forever home.  If you are ready to provide her with what she deserves, please fill in the Application Form.
