Sibelle here and I’ve got a bone to pick. It would seem that very few people are interested in adopting a Husky or Husky mix these days. If I was a Huskadoodle – everyone would be lined up to adopt me. Anything “doodle” causes a big stir and LOTS of interest. I know one of the main attractions is the fact that most doodles are minimal shedders. If you brush me a few times a week and get my coat blown twice a year, the fur will be manageable.
There are oodles of doodles out there and there is a place for all of us. They are also supposedly very athletic – well, you can’t get more athletic than a Husky. Have you ever heard of skijoring. I’ll pull you all over town if that’s you would makes you happy. And, I don’t need a coat or fancy boots to do it! In fact, my favorite season is upon us. Give me snow … lots of snow. I can also be your running or jogging partner.
Not all doodles are created equal – same as huskies. Although they are touted as being intelligent; like all dogs it depends on their training and the amount of time and effort devoted to them. Take me to obedience training and I’ll prove to you just how smart I can be. Bring along some liver treats as they work wonders with independent thinkers like me.
Then there is the cuteness factor. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Yup doodles are very cute but I am no slouch in the looks department. My pointy ears, distinctive markings, expressive eyes, and the fluffy tail make me irresistible. Of course, the amazing wolfish colouring only adds to my appeal.
If you are an active, outdoorsy, nature-loving person who is in search of a companion with similar interests, I am here and I can be packed and ready to go in a flash. Remember, whatever breed of dog you choose to adopt, you must make the commitment to stick with them through thick and thin for the next 12 to 15 years.
Are you the one willing to make a difference in a young dog’s life. Please fill in an Application Form and tell me all about yourself. Again, my name is Sibelle and I am originally from Chisisabi.
Please note that due the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to all applicants and ONLY those being considered will be contacted. We thank you for your understanding. The adoption application link is posted below and the adoption process is outlined on the website. Animatch asks that you read the Adoptee’s bio in its entirety before applying to ensure you meet the requirements for the dog.
