Meet Scotty, a Chinese Crested pup, who finds himself in search of a home, preferably one that knows the breed.  Scotty had a human who loved him but sadly because of illness his time in the home was short.  

No doubt, Scotty is fine-boned, exotic and will spark conversations.  The hairless variety is certainly unique-looking!   You can also count on him to be affectionate, playful, alert, entertaining and goofy at times.  He will jump right into your arms once he knows you and is ready for you to teach him a few tricks.  

Much as he enjoys and needs activity, he promises to be very people-oriented.  Some might even consider him a "Velcro" dog who will lap up interaction with his guardian.  Because he is still a pup, he doesn't like being left for long periods of time.  So, a home where he is not alone the entire day is important.

The hairless variety of the Chinese Crested don’t shed which may be a plus for some but he definitely requires a commitment to skin care.  He has delicate skin that needs to be washed frequently and moisturized.  He must be protected from the sun in summer and the cold in winter.  A shopping spree is certainly in the cards should you adopt Scotty.  If you think he is a “no maintenance” breed, think again.  In fact, there is no such breed!

Scotty needs some work on toilet training; the breed can be a challenge as they are not keen on cold or wet weather.  Patience and consistency are a must until he knows what is expected of him.  He would love to demonstrate just how smart he is in obedience training and if you are looking for a little agility dog – he promises to show you his stuff.
