About

Eve

UPDATE - SEP 19: Eve's pups are long gone and she is still with us. Luckily she is with one of our very experience Foster Mom's and together they make an awesome team. Following is an update from our beautiful Rottie girl, Eve.

My name is Eve, and I've been hanging out at my Foster Mom's for about 2 months now.  She is pretty impressed with me.  She says that I am smart as a whip, really want to please, and enjoy learning.  I am pretty good on leash until I see a squirrel.  We are working on that.  I live with my foster brother and sister, and get along fine.  My FM thinks I would be best in a home with a calm companion to show me the ropes.  I love, love car rides and walks.  This is all great, right?  Ok, here are some of the things my FM says we need work on.
She says I am a "Ninja", when it comes to counter surfing.  Being lazy and pushing things to the back of the counter won't work when you have long legs like mine!  I believe napkins, paper towels and dog toy stuffing are delicacies, and should be eaten, much to the chagrin of my FM.  I can get somewhat nervous when separated from you.  If you leave the house, I feel happy in my "room", with a nice bed, toys and water.  If you give me the run of the house, I panic, and get into things and have accidents.  In my room, where I am safe, I don't touch anything, even the shoes on the floor, and the items hanging off hooks.
I have a tendency to randomly lunge at some men with a bark included.  FM thinks it might be a protective issue, as I am fine with men with a proper introduction.  My past is a bit of a mystery, and I have come a long way since coming to Animatch.  I try very hard everyday to learn and please more.  I hope you will consider taking a chance on me.

Eve here and let me tell you if I had thumbs, I’d be twiddling them. I mean, talk about a snooze fest!   Waiting for my new home is boooring!   Sure, hanging out with the Volunteers is fun and certainly great socialization but what I dream of is my very own family!

I arrived from Ontario with my 10 puppies; so up until recently I haven’t had a minute to myself.  Sadly, I lost five of them to parvo virus.  The remaining ones are typical, boisterous, busy little fur balls.  My work is done with them and I know Animatch will find my puppies the perfect home.  Good luck to them but it’s my turn now.

I have all the qualities of a topnotch companion, you merely have to provide plenty of guidance, exercise, love, and perseverance.  I sound unbelievable so far, don’t I?   Now I don’t mean to burst your bubble but I would do better in a home where I am your one and only.  I have lived with too many dogs and had too little space for so long, now I want it to be about me.  I absolutely love human attention; something I have lacked most of my life.

Since I have not had a lick of training nor have I ever had to walk on leash, I believe that we should sign ourselves up for training – let’s put it on the “to do” list.  I know with my help, you can ace this.

Treat me right, give me the training I require, provide me with the affection I long for, and I will be the best dog ever.  So, do you see a future together?  If you’re looking for a fantastic addition to your family, fill in the Application Form.
