My name is Ellie and you cannot begin to understand how difficult it is to get photos of me with my ears up!  Because of my recent ordeal, I could use a touch more socialization and encouragement to boost my confidence.  I have a shady past; you see a good Samaritan took me home because I was being given away – you know what can happen to unsterilized females if we get into the wrong hands, right?  From there, Animatch agreed to take me in.  

Since I was so fearful and shut down, Animatch called on one their expert Chihuahua Foster Moms.  In just a short time, I have come a long way but I will require an understanding and patient human.  Tipping the scales at 8 lbs. means that I would do better in an adult home or one with respectful and calm children over 12.  

Look at this beautiful face, these soft sweet eyes, don’t you feel your heart melting? Well, for good reason—I am sensitive, cute, and very sweet.  I know I will find a wonderful forever family who is willing to make a genuine commitment; you know, a family deserving of a delightful companion not unlike myself.  

I am learning so much from my foster siblings and I do think it would be great to have another small, well-balanced dog to teach me about being a family dog.  My favorite activity is snuggling – of course once I have developed a trust with you.  I also adore curling up on a soft doggy bed, burrowing under the blankets, and a warm inviting lap -- although exercise is important for Chihuahuas too.  You must teach me about this activity called walking on leash.  

I am the whole package albeit a tiny one.  If you have a low traffic home and a craving for a BFF, please hurry and fill in the Application Form and ask for Ellie.  You may be the lucky family who is selected to adopt me.
