My name is Atolie a and I am best described as a scaredy cat!  I am not afraid to admit that I am fearful and that is the first step to change, isn’t it?  After spending my first seven years producing puppies, my upbringing was not that of a typical family pet.   Despite all the kind humans saying, “everything will be alright”, all this uncertainty can really make a girl’s head spin.

Because I was in desperate need of some rehabilitation and one-on-one attention, my fabulous Foster Mom stepped in.  She sees the potential in me and much as she knows I need love in copious amounts, she also knows that even more important is patience.  I will need someone who will let me progress in my own time – know when to encourage and know when to back off.  

Another dog in the family would surely make my integration into home life a little easier.  In fact, my foster siblings – canine and feline – have helped boost my confidence.  I would thrive in an adult home; I don’t do well with surprises or “grabby hands” so I need humans who understand how to respect my boundaries.
