Meet Blondie a 3-month-old Lab-x whose 8 littermates have all moved on to their forever homes.  Blondie was one of Marshmallow’s pups but it was evident very early on that she was failing to thrive.  One of our amazing Volunteer Foster Moms took her under her wing -- bottle fed her, did physio therapy, exercised her and made ever effort to ensure that she had a chance to become a typical puppy.  

Blondie did not have sight for many weeks after birth and her motor skills were not progressing as quickly as other puppies.  All that is behind her now.  It has been confirmed that she can see and although she may never be an agility champion, she can certainly run and enjoy life with the best of them.  Since Blondie did not grow up in a rough and tumble environment with the rest of her litter, continued socialization is important.  Of course, obedience training would go a long way in boosting her confidence.  

Blondie will need what all puppies demand – lots of attention, patience, exercise, and a 10-to-15-year commitment.  Blondie has lived with cats and other dogs; she would do better with a tolerant adult dog to help her along.  Daily walks are essential to her well-being and to continue her progress with her motor skills.
