UPDATE - AUGUST 17: Trevor here and what a devastating morning this was; I said goodbye to the only human who has ever truly cared for me. The good people at Animatch try to cheer me up but it will take a few days to settle in .... again! Please believe the volunteers that young dogs/puppies need a lot of activity and are a lot of work. They really do want what is best for us and it's not about you finding a dog, it's about me finding happiness ... furever! Remember, no apartments/condos and I'm very active. Oh man, do I want a family of my own to shower with love! With some assistance from the Animatch Volunteers, I have become super sweet, affectionate, loyal, and social. Initially, I was pretty nervous and didn’t just offer my affection to anyone. Everyone was so patient and gentle in order to gain my trust.
I was in a situation where there were far too many dogs and despite good intentions, there were not enough hours in the day to give us all that we needed. Of course, first on the agenda, was a trip to the Vet where I was checked out, neutered, and given all the vaccinations to bring me up to date. That is all part of responsible guardianship.
Now I need a home where I will have my own bed, nutritious food, and tons of belly rubs. You may be required to help me with my toilet training; I aim to please and I know that doing my business outside makes humans very happy. I am on the lookout for a devoted family with a willingness to invest in positive training methods, plenty of playtime, and continued socialization. You know, all the things a good dog needs!
By the way, I am not at all suited for apartment/condo living as I love the sound of my own voice and use it quite often. I also use my voice when I meet other dogs on a walk. Hey, no dog is perfect. I know we can work on that together.
