UPDATE: Hey everybody can you believe that a "sweetie" like me is still around. As soon as my bones are fully grown, I will be undergoing surgery. I'd more than love to be in my new home before the surgery so that I can go home after the operation and get some much needed TLC. In the meantime, I am taking some meds because sometimes I am uncomfortable. I love playing with the dogs in my playgroup; however, because of my resource guarding -- food, my bed, toys -- it would be better if I was your one and only. I have more love to give than you can imagine so I am sure that having just me around will be more than enough. Please fill in the Application Form and let's make this happen.

I know exactly what you’re thinking, “OMG, Sweetie is the cutest Boston Terrier puppy E-V-E-R!”  I agree but I am so much more than just a pretty face; I’ve got smarts to go with these striking good looks.  I need someone who is ready to put it to work.  

I was given up because my family could not afford the surgery that I require.  I have luxating patella’s; I like to call them my “trick knees”.  I am too young to undergo surgery but I will be ready when I am closer to one year old.  In the meantime, I can go to a home and get some exercise to strengthen the muscles supporting my knee. Animatch will call me back when it is time to have surgery.

I have a sweet personality so that should be a guarantee that I will grow up to be a friendly, obedient, and well-adjusted dog, right?  WRONG!  The truth is Animatch can only guess at what kind of adult dog I will be.  This is where my future family comes in.  Genetics do have an influence on my personality but equally important is the time and energy that my family is prepared to invest.    Many humans seem to feel that love is all that it takes; it does, in abundant amounts, but equally important is exercise (physical and mental) and training with positive reinforcement.  I would love to participate in obedience training.  Stock up on those liver treats!  

I have already shown that I can be a resource guarder when in comes to my bed and my toys with dogs If there is another dog in the home, my family must know how to work with this issue.  Frequent interaction and socialization with humans and other dogs will help me with situations that I will encounter in live.  

I can’t wait to experience the joy and excitement of going to my new home very soon.  If you are prepared to do what is needed to watch a puppy grow up to be an amazing, well-adjusted dog, then I may be the pup for you.  Animatch is looking for an experienced family and preferably one that knows my breed.  Please fill in the Application Form.
