UPDATE - NOV 4: Sushi here and thought you'd like to get a look at my new "do". The groomer said that I was such a good boy; I feel like a new dog. I am still with my Foster Mom and doing really well. My canine foster siblings are amazing and I get along with them very well; I could even live with a cat. Just checking in to make sure you don't forget me. I may be small but I have a lot of personality. Don't forget, fill in the Application Form if you feel that I am the dog for you.

Sushi here and I imagine that you are wondering how a 10-year-old cutie like me ends up homeless.  Well, apparently my human was very ill and could no longer care for me.  

Because of my age, Animatch felt that a special Foster Mom who adores pooches from the Grey Muzzle Society would be the perfect place for me to wait for my home.  She has discovered that I have oodles of pep in my step.  Did you know that senior dogs love to play as much as our youthful counterparts?  We may not play for as long and you may have to adjust your expectations but we so enjoy the human attention.  

My Foster Mom says that I am outgoing and spunky and every day we gear up for a brisk walk or two.  I still enjoy doing a lot of sniffing and leaving a p-mail or two.   Then I like to take a nap – you can join me if you like.  No need to worry about dog proofing the house.  I’ve learned one of life’s most important lessons – shoes are for walking and bones are for chewing.  

Now because of all the upsets in my life, I’ve been known to have an accident or two.  I will need a refresher on toilet training; we will continue to work on that together.  It would be best for me to find a home where I am not alone more than a few hours.  Another laid back dog would be great too.  Did I mention that I am cat friendly!  Now that’s a bonus.
