Snapple

UPDATE - AUG 2: Hey everyone, Snapple here and wondering why I have not been snapped up. I have made tremendous progress over the months but I need my family to step up and help me the rest of the way .... to becoming the best dog I can be. I am just over 6 months old and I don't think that I will be a huge dog. I would do well with another well-balanced canine to emulate. Every night before I fall asleep I dream of my very own bed, a family who smiles when I walk into the room, and a devoted human who loves and accepts me for who I am. Speak up, if that is you. I am here and can be packed and ready to go in a flash! Don't make me write another one of these updates!

Meet Snapple, one of three puppies, from Whapmagoostui.  Snapple, Nestea, and Brisk were rescued a few weeks ago living under a building and fending for themselves.  They are in desperate need of human affection, kindness and care.

Puppies that are found in these types of situations can present behaviours that are somewhat feral.  Snapple and his littermates have come a long way but still have a journey ahead of then.  The pups are learning that interaction with humans can be fun; they are also discovering that playing with toys, exploring the yard, and sniffing around inside are all experiences that they can thoroughly enjoy.

Snapple would thrive in a home with dog experience and another well-balanced canine to show him the ropes.  Not yet taken for walks, he has much to learn in the coming weeks and will blossom in a home that will educate him, socialize him, and keep him mentally and physically satisfied.

Animatch is asking that his family be flexible with their expectations.  Fear does not disappear overnight; it’s a process.  Meeting new people and dogs can be a pleasant experience if done properly.  Although we don't foresee a problem with children, older children would suit Snapple best.

Snapple is a mix of many breeds so please realize that your guess is as good as ours.  In Northern Communities, the majority of dogs are mixes of Husky, Lab, and Shepherd.  We can only guess at what their weight will be when they are full grown. For this reason, we expect adopters to be flexible in their expectations of size and appearance when adopting a puppy.

If you feel that you have what it takes to turn this pup’s life around and help him be the dog he was meant to be, please consider adopting him.  Fill in the Application Form and tell us all about yourself.
