Prunelle is a one-year-old Nordic mix who gave birth a few months ago. Although we are always happy when a Northern dog is sterilized to prevent more unwanted pups, we are especially relieved that Prunelle’s puppy making days are over. Three of our recent adoptees – Melodee, Maximo, and Maize – were Prunelle’s pups. There may have been more pups who were left behind. Of the three, two are blind or partially blind due to the merle gene (it can also cause deafness).
Prunelle is happy and healthy and really geared up to start her new life. Northern dogs are so resilient. Prunelle is about one year old and you should know that you will be working with clean slate – meaning she needs obedience training and socialization! Everything is foreign to her; car rides, walking on leash, greeting new dogs. Being a Northern girl means that only active families should consider adopting her. She looks forward to the day that she can proudly take long walks along side you in her new neighbourhood.
Apart from enjoying the outdoors, her favorite pastime is chewing on antlers and spending time with her canine buddies – cuddles are the best too! Now Prunelle is definitely not hard to love, but what she needs just as much as love is commitment. She needs you to promise that you will keep her safe and take care of her for the rest of her life. In return, she will brighten up your days with her charm and undying devotion. If you have what it takes to adopt her and are looking for a dog that has lots of good years to devote to you, please fill in the Application Form.
Please note that due the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to all applicants and ONLY those being considered will be contacted. We thank you for your understanding. The adoption application link is posted below and the adoption process is outlined on the website. Animatch asks that you read the Adoptee’s bio in its entirety before applying to ensure you meet the requirements for the dog.
