These engaging eyes are looking at you with longing -- a longing for commitment, a longing to feel safe, a longing to trust, a longing for a family to call my own. I know that you are no doubt wondering what is in my mix – apparently, I am a Border Collie x Blue Heeler.
Thanks to a rescue group called, Central Texas Ruffugees, who help dogs in small, rural towns in Texas, I am going to get a chance to be a valued member of a family. I arrived with a great group of mutts and we just can’t wait to get started.
I get that you will be immediately captivated by my good looks and sensitive demeanor, but you must give me some time to trust before I can show you my playful side! I have a tendency to be a submissive pee-er and you need to understand that this is not a toilet training problem but simply a lack of confidence. Getting annoyed or showing frustration will only make it worse. Believe it or not, obedience training will go a long way in boosting my confidence and in addition, we can have some fun.
I really enjoy the company of other dogs, and even gentle and respectful children 8+ can get in on the love, but we are not sure about cats just yet. One day when I am not so shy, it is possible that my natural herding instincts might shine. Then, we can think about games, frisbee, and catching a ball when I am feeling comfortable in my new home. We also need to practice my leash training so that we can take long strolls around the neighborhood, and when the day is done, I will happily lounge around beside you.
We’ve got a wonderful future ahead of us…years and years of cuddles and kisses. I need to know that I can rely on you every step of the way. So, are you in, or are you out? Fill in the Application Form and ask for Panda.
Please note that due the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to all applicants and ONLY those being considered will be contacted. We thank you for your understanding. The adoption application link is posted below and the adoption process is outlined on the website. Animatch asks that you read the Adoptee’s bio in its entirety before applying to ensure you meet the requirements for the dog.
