Manny here and I am a proud Poodle or Poodle mix.  I arrived with Neema at the beginning of the summer; our human did not have a place to live and surrendered us both.  I thought I had it made as within a short time I was off to my new home.  However, if you are looking for a city slicker or a condo dweller that would not be me.  The hustle and bustle, elevators, stairwells, lobbies were not my cup of tea at all!  Give me a house and a yard; we’ll have a deal.

I am an amazing dog – very smart and very friendly.  Of course, the ideal way to assist me in being the best dog I can be is through training.  Up to this point, I have had very little – if any at all.  Now positive reinforcement is the only way to go with me.  Insofar as other dogs are concerned, I can be a little dominant.  If you have a dog, it must be a good match and when meeting random dogs on the street a proper introduction is a must.  I’m not a dog park kind of dog – that just isn’t for me.

Like many dogs, I am a little confused about my place in the world.  A few people in the know say that I should not have free access to all the things I want – furniture, bed, etc.  I never had any of them in my previous life but now that I’ve had a taste of living in a home, I’m not keen on giving them up. No doubt, a treat as a reward would be great motivation.  To be safe, leave a leash on me for while to deter me from jumping up on furniture.  Maybe we can go on a shopping spree and you can buy me my own bed.  

I absolutely need a committed human to get me on the right track.  If you have the experience, time, patience and desire to assist me in becoming the dog of your dreams, I have the potential to be an amazing dog.
