Update – Jan. 25: Donna (a volunteer) and Helen were in for a surprise this morning. When doing the rounds, they discovered that Eyelene had a visitor in her enclosure. She had given birth to a puppy. Eyelene has been transferred to more comfortable accommodation as we wait to see if puppy will be a “singleton” or if there are more to come. For the time being, Eyelene’s adoption is on hold! Stay tuned.
The good people at Animatch tell me that I need not worry and that I have only one more stop left …. right into my furever home! Eyelene here and I am a natural-born people pleaser; I will be an amazing companion ... of course, a little training will be required before that dream is realized. Animatch loves dogs – all dogs. They value old dogs, young dogs, small dogs and big dogs but most of all …. they love underdogs. Thanks to the Nordic Paws Project who brought me here from Kuujjuarapik, I will soon undergo entropion surgery (inverted eyelid) which will be a relief. Entropion causes me to be sensitive to light and wind and that is why I have watery, goopy eyes. The other dogs at the Centre tell me their stories late at night when no one is around. For many, life was not perfect for them regardless of where they came from. Me and my canine pals think that a worldwide change in how people view dogs is what needs to happen.
We Northern Dogs are amazing and we are a mix of many breeds wrapped into one – Northern mix is not just a breed but a way of life. I will blossom in a home environment and training me with patience, consistency and an understanding of my character will make me an awesome addition to your family. In return I promise to be a gentle, loving, and easy-going companion. Fill in the Adoption form if you would like to offer me my happily ever after.
Please note that due the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to all applicants and ONLY those being considered will be contacted. We thank you for your understanding. The adoption application link is posted below and the adoption process is outlined on the website. Animatch asks that you read the Adoptee’s bio in its entirety before applying to ensure you meet the requirements for the dog.
