The name is Buddy and I pledge to be the best one you could have if you adopt me.  Puppies may be the cutest creatures on the face of the early but adopting a mature dog can warm your heart like nothing else.  First of all, pups are so destructive and exhausting.  So put me on your short list.  

After experiencing an all-time low when my family gave me up because of allergies; I am now feeling optimistic and ready to take on the world.  I arrived with my little pal Blu (who just went to his new home).  There is a family out there who is going to appreciate this handsome fellow.  I am social, outgoing and quick to make friends and look forward to sharing my life with a special human.  Once my silky black coat grows back in, I will be stunning.  By the way if you don’t want a long-haired dog, don’t adopt one.  Shaving is not the answer and can cause all kinds of other issues – but that’s a story left for another time.  

Now I have never met a stranger and can get a little exuberant so a few reminders to keep all fours firmly planted on the ground should do the trick.  I could use a little work  walking properly on leash just to make it more enjoyable for both of us when we go for a stroll.  Of course, I will need a few walks a day and we can explore and hike to our heart’s content.  I have lived in a home and I get that we also must have time to relax when we are done.  I have a sixth sense and know that I’ve been given a second chance at happiness and intend to savor every minute.  

I am 6.5 years old and will not waste another day of my life stewing about my past – I’m ready to take on the world one paw at a time.  So, are you looking for a friend? I could sure use one.  Fill in the Application Form and ask for Buddy.
