UPDATE: I know you're all wondering why Gorgeous Bruce is back. Let me tell you it was a nice short break but the other dog and I were not a good match. I'm here and I'm waiting for take two.

Meet Bruce, a majestic Lab x Husky, who recently arrived from Whapmagoostui.  Adolescent Northern dogs who come to us with little or no socialization can be a challenge.  With any pup, the work starts immediately – socialization, training, etc.  Dogs like Bruce who were left to fend for themselves for their first 7-8 months must play catch-up.

Bruce who lacked early socialization is at times fearful around unfamiliar people.    Is it too late for Bruce?  Of course not; it just takes the right human to help him along.  With time, positive reinforcement training, and a calm and patient demeanor, Bruce’s human can help this cautious fellow overcome his fears.   In fact, Animatch has seen a remarkable improvement in the short time that he has been with us.  

Bruce would shine with an experienced family who is ready to do obedience training and provide him with the exercise and stimulation that he needs.  Bruce gets along with other dogs (preferably females) with a proper introduction.  Cats, on the other hand, are not recommended.  

This Northern dude adores being outside – winter is definitely his favorite season.  If you have always wanted to try skijoring, this might be the time.  After a busy day out in the fresh air, he will be only too happy to chill out beside you.
