Okay…so in 2012 I am trying a new HIGH ROAD approach to not judge, BUT…if the doggie is only 4-5 months old, and was obviously “acquired” very recently…and ALREADY, the family has decided that they have no time for her?....then, I just don’t understand…She HAD TO have been “a gift”, given to the family without advance warning or discussion! Moi…je ne comprend pas!!! ANYWAY…..Good luck, sweet Zacoo…have fun at Animatch, they will MAKE TIME for you until your new forever family discovers you! ***Hugs***

No Kurta, i already have 3 dogs and 2 cats…which is 2 over the limit for where i live! I just have a special fondness for dachshunds and black dogs! If i had a farm and lots of money, he would be mine!

What a beautiful little girl! Looking at her photos, I can just hear her mind saying, “Play? Play? Play? I wanna playyyy!” Sure looks like she’s dachshund mixed with black lab… what an unusual combination, if that’s the case! Good luck cutie pie! *sends belly rubs* Someone special is going to have lots of time to spend loving you!
I too love her new pictures! She seems so sweet and playful in deed! And yes, that mix results in a very original and cute dog!

and yes, Debbie the words disposable comes to mind yet again….gift or spurr of the moment purchase at least this little one wasn’t dumped out in the cold to fend for herself…. nor was she placed in a card board box and left by the roadside. We are all thankfull for at least that much.
Oh my gosh Elaine - it’s Jake’s face on Charlie’s body! So cute. By the way, I thought we BOTH said we were going to stop visiting Animatch for a little bit, since it just makes us wish we could adopt them all? Guess we’re addicted. There are worse habits.

Dachshunds just rule my heart, I suppose. As much as I tell myself not to, I know I’ll be here, every day, watching for the lucky person who is destined to love Zazoo to find her ready and waiting to go home 
There’s a whole bunch of us that are addicted along with you and Elaine !!!! Great place to adopt from - make friends - at times it gets a bit heated

Although I just joined today, I have been reading the site for quite a while and feel as though I know some of you. Zazoo is adorable. Unfortunately our town limit is two. What do these people do when they discover that human babies are a lot of work? Do they put them up for adoption?

Since your new I’ll introduce myself = I’m Lily from New Brunswick - I was Camy’s Mom, we adopted her from Animatch in 2009 - sadly our little one died Dec 7 / 11 ....
We adopted Kody on September 3 /11 again from Animatch. We also have Belle, our senior Yorkie she will be 13 this coming March - I tell everyone Belle is like the Maxine jokes ... cranky old puss .. but we love her to no ends.
sigh. I am so in love with this girl. The new pics are stunning! Her face is so much like my Willow. When i adopted her, they told me she was lab/daschshund/golden mix. She looks like a lab..but looking at zazoo’s pics, i can see the sausage in her. I am working tthe meet and greet at mon ami on March 3rd..maybe Joanne will send her!
Hi Lily. Your comments are great. I was sorry to read about Camy. I lost my Portuguese Water Dog at the age of 8 to a brain tumor on Dec.17, 2010. I applied to adopt Ariel (2010 success stories) and got the phone call from Animatch. However, they are not accessible by public transit and I do not drive since having been hit by a cement truck. We ended up with little Piglee, a black pug from Rosie’s Rescue. He is adorable. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures with Kody and Belle.

Thank you so much Heather B. I hope that Zena (10 1/2 year old pug) will be with us for another few years, but you never know. I am on the Animatch site all the time and since I can no longer have big dogs, have a special weakness for pugs. I am in SAB, so not too far from you. I will keep your offer in mind.

Heather B - Iam still learning how this web site works. I am ownedbypugs, both as a username and in real life. SAB is Sainte Anne de Bellevue. I saw Peggie and nothing would make me happier than to adopt her. However, I already have 2 pugs (2 are definitely better than 1) and our Town limit is 2. There is also the fact that an older dog will probably need more vet care and I am being realistic as to what I can afford. My Animatch user name will continue to be “ownedbypugs” because that is what I am.
Oh, i didn’t realize you already had 2! My town limit is 3. I have 2, my roomate has 1 and i have 2 cats, but they don’t go out, so i figure i’m safe! SAB would be perfect, it’s on the way to the animatch center, i could swing by, pick you up and bring you back, if you ever decide to adopt again!
I also have a cat who doesn’t go out, there are the 2 pugs and 2 bunnies , not to mention the newt and the 2 goldfish! Am I crazy or what? My 16 year-old daughter looks after the newt and the bunnies and we share the rest of the chores. I will definitely adopt again, but I hope that Zena will still be with us for a long time. In the meantime, I drool over the dogs for adoption and seethe over the lame reasons for the surrenders. Yes, I am intolerant, but the dogs deserve better.
Sometimes, we wonder out loud and ruffle feathers OR at times your comments in part will be copied and posted when your voicing your opinion….. water on a duck for me… These dogs deserves so much more. Impulsive purchases - not doing your homework when choosing a breed OH YES, and the fact that they pee and poo are not the furbabies fault but yet; they are the ones paying the price - some with their lives…..
Like the part where you drool….. will have to introduce you to Edgar - she drools over Great Danes…..
I have been away from the site for awhile - read trying to manage my addiction
So refreshing to see the comraderie that has developed here amongst those of us who are the champions for those forgotton, abandoned and often abused dogs. If I could, I would adopt as many of these poor lost souls as possible to give them the life they deserve. Every day I am amazed when I look at my two Animatch adoptees and see the joyous love in their eyes, their eagerness to please and enjoy the day, and wonder how anyone could have abandoned Charlie and kept Lucy in a cage for nothing more than breeding. They give us so much and ask for so little in return.
I obviously have a serious weakness for Doxies… Zazoo is beautiful! I hope she finds her loving and caring forever home very very soon!

The wait for the call is at times long depending on volunteer’s workload but MAN OH MAN is the wait ever worth it. Hang in there Carla and Julien you will find out one way or another - like Viviane, I too hope you have the opportunity to love this little beauty. We only ask one thing of you and Julien: let us know tout de suite ( a.s.a.p. ) when you do get a call.

Animatch makes me have hope for the world. So happy she has a potential home. Breeders like the one that bred the blind inbred dogs make me physicallly Ill . Thank god pet stores are finally getting it. My dogs give me peace and laughter. Best part of my day is the hello at the door after work. Dog is god spelled backward

Your still on Trial Zazoo- I don’t know if that is good or not ?? Okay Okay girls it’s just me that is pushy - I see that a wave of Reserved and on Trial has hit Animatch - since we have momentum here I was just riding the wave !!!!!
