A Beagle Male named Yogy

No couch potatoes for me, I'm a busy boy!I follow my nose at every opportunity.I am very proud to be a Beagle!

Yogy is presently Adopted

Yogy is a handsome, energetic, male Beagle who came to us as a stray.  This Beagle Boy is very friendly and lovable with a true zest for life.  Now before adopting a Beagle, potential adopters must do their research on the breed.  Beagles were bred to follow their noses and they do; they are scent hounds and will follow their nose at every opportunity.  Yogy absolutely needs a fenced yard to prevent him from wondering off in pursuit of an intriguing scent (especially on garbage day!).  Yogy has a distinctive bark and howl, so he is definitely not a candidate for apartment or condo living.  Don’t believe people who say that Beagles can’t be trained, they can learn to understand commands but they just don’t always choose to listen – especially when the smell of food is around.  Obedience training classes would be recommended for Yogy.  Like all Beagles, he is an active dog who will need lots of walks and daily exercise.  Yogy needs the companionship of his human pack; Beagles are not a breed who does well on their own all day.  If you have done your research and still want a Beagle, you won’t be disappointed.  Yogy will be a wonderful family dog who is loving and affectionate.  There would be no better feeling than to have him jump up on your lap, give you a Beagle kiss, and curly up beside you for a nap.  Yogy will keep you amused and entertained for many years to come.  First and foremost, a sense of humour is a must for anyone who adopts a Beagle.  If you feel that you are ready to make a commitment to this handsome dog, please fill in the Adoption Form

His head is so expressive. Every time you talk to him he tilts his head like he’s actually understanding what you telling him. He is very cute.

coming from the owner of a beagle just like yogy (they even have the same collar!!!), the description is perfect. beagles are the sweetest dog you will encounter - and the biggest trouble maker! as long as you can keep them entertained, they will reward you with love and devotion. I would take Yogy if I could, but I am at max capacity with two dogs smile What a BEAUTIFUL dog!
