Salem is a 7-month-old, sweet, friendly Terrier-X, who was given up because her family did not have the time to meet her exercise needs. Terriers can be high energy dogs and Salem spent more than 8 hours a day in her crate waiting for her family to come home. Since there were young children in the home, Salem was not their first priority when they were home in the evenings and this is understandable. They realized that they had made a mistake and brought her to a safe place. Much thought needs to be put into getting a dog. If you work long hours, your lifestyle might not be appropriate for a dog, especially a puppy or adolescent dog. If you are gone all day and have an active dog, a dog walker should be considered. A dog is a serious lifelong commitment that requires lots of time and attention. Meeting a dog like Salem’s exercise requirements is key to having a happy, well-adjusted dog. Salem would do better with an experienced guardian who is able to meet her exercise needs. She is very intelligent and obedience training would be highly recommended. This athletic, agile Terrier would excel at agility. Salem needs to be kept busy, both physically and mentally. She definitely needs a home where she is not alone all day. Hi Françoise, when you are Logged in and it says: Welcome Françoise, (very top of page, in red area) you will see EDIT PROFILE, click on that, and on the left hand side you will see Personal Settings….under that, choose: EDIT AVATAR. Then you can browse your computer for a photo that you want and then UPLOAD AVATAR, (there are some issues re: size though, which sometimes gives me grief). Lily, Viviane….additional comments for Françoise??? GOOD LUCK!

Thank you Ladies .. So nice to be a member of the club .. I have been a member since Sep 9 2009 but not active ..I check the site every morning .. The picture of the dog was Chloé.. She has left us two years ago .. but she is still very much in our hearts ..Looking forward to adopt a little girl in the spring..

Sophie (new name for Salem) is doing well. So much to discover and she is just a bundle of joy and affection. Obedience classes are starting tonight to better understand each other. She is so adorable!
