Sorry, must have hit the “submit comment” to fast! As long as I have my Toscan, I cannot have another furbaby!  I have searched about a year for him , but now that he is there and has been ill for nearly 8 years, I am totally committed to him and I will not have any other dog in my life than him… but, Lord, I wish I could!  I am dreaming of a dog that could spend 24 hrs with me, in and out of my car!  Surely, next time I will adopt from here! Good luck!  Oh, I just wish… xxx

Vivian, I think we are in the same position, my dog is a senior and she loves the undivided attention since the 18yrs old cat passed away last year.  But there are so many wonderful dogs that it is often very tempting…Wishing your furbaby well and happy holidays to you both grin.

My husband and our kids tease me all the time, telling me that they should put a parental control for dog sites on my computer!  Lol!  Cynthia, I also wish you and your senior furbaby a wonderful time for the holidays!

Hello.  For anyone considering adopting Riley I can tell you she would be a very loving and devoted dog.  Why I know this is because we are the family that unfortunately (and painfully) had to return her to the great people at Animatch.  Due to job changes Riley would be alone for nearly 8-10 hrs a day.  Riley does require attention, but she is well worth it.  Someone who is knowledgeable about dogs and willing to put the time in that is required to get Riley on track will be well rewarded by having a fantastic dog.  Why am I on the Animatch site?  Just checking up on Riley ...  She is beautfiul, love the pictures.

I took Reilly to Paws and Pray today and what an awesome dog she is.  She settled down in the pew and went to sleep.  She was great in the car.  The people loved her.

Hello - Reilly has caught my attention and I’m wondering how she is doing and why she is on meds? I’m looking into adopting a dog to keep me and my cat company and to accompany me on my walks.  Please provie me with any additional info you have on Reilly.  I am located in Gatineau.  Thank you, Kathleen

Hi Kathleen, I have met Reilly and she is a wonderful dog - affectionate, very smart, and lots of energy.

Animatch is run by volunteers only and this forum (which is public and not recommended for private conversations) is NOT monitored for questions from prospective families.  The adoption form (found in the top left menu) is the best way to let them know you are interested in knowing more about Reilly.  I’d suggest to let them know on the form that if Reilly is not a good fit, you are open to meeting other dogs that might be just in case.  That will ensure that if Reilly is not a good fit or is already promised to someone else, you have a chance at finding another dog that is.  That is what happened to Debbie (above) who tells us all the time that she is totally in love with the dog she did adopt.

Good luck, Kathleen!  We all adore Reilly and would love nothing better than for her to find a good home! grin

PLEASE READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Reilly, you are still there. You’ve been there so long! I hope you get a great family soon, because you are truly adorable! I wish I could adopt you… But I already have two dogs. Best of luck to you girl!  I know that some of you guys have seen this notice… But I have to show it at as many places as possible. Here it is again…
                        *******************
Are there any crazy dog lovers out there? Are there any of you that want to make a change? I mean about saving/helping dogs that are hurt, lost and neglected… Well… If there are.. you must read this…
                *****************************
I was looking at the animatch video, and I clicked on another, and another. Until I had tears in my eyes… (a lot) I also saw pictures of dogs that were very skinny, hurt, and abandoned. Then I said to myself ” I want to make a change.” But how? I am only one person. So I need your help. With one person, not much can happen, but with 20, things are more possible. Then by telling your family and friends, it can build up to 50, 100, 1000. Who knows what can happen. Any age, gender it does not matter. You can be the change. have any of you herd about Free the Children? It started with one person, Krieg Kielburger, when he was around 10, and his brother, and now there are 10000 people that have joined. They help kids that are starving in Africa, Haiti, Asia…and even more. This is what can happen. Maybe you think it is weird, making a club for this reason, but imagine being that dog that is suffering and is abandonned. If you would like to help me, just send me an email to bkamke01@lbpearson.qc.ca.
Thanks for reading this, and tell as many people as possible.
    Billie
