A Terrier-X Male named Kota

Kota is presently Adopted

Kota here and I’m a real cutie with an irresistible face.  I’m up for adoption because my family felt that they no longer had the time for me .... bummer!  I weigh 8 lbs but I’m a bundle of energy, so be prepared.  I’m only 4 years old so we can plan on having lots of years to share our love.  I’ve never lived with kids so probably best I go to an adult home or one where kids are older and respectful of little guys like me.  I’m a rough and tumble pooch with tons of personality.  I do need a bit of a refresher on toilet training.  I spent 8 or more hours on my own and it was very difficult to hold all that time – I’m not sure that you could either.  An 8 lb dog has a very, very tiny bladder.  I’m a little too vocal for apartment or condo living – I’m part Terrier, you know!  If you think I’m the type of dog that likes to be carried around in a bag, you’d be wrong.  I like to use my legs and love going for long walks.  My favourite past time is playing fetch and rough housing with my fur buds.  A good grooming every now and then and regular brushing and I’m good to go.  If you give me the chance, I know that I can prove to you what a great dog I am.  Fill in the adoption form and do it now, I think I may not be here for long.  My paws are crossed!

    Hello!
My daughter and I met Kota at Finnigan’s market about a month ago and were very interested in adopting him, or Tofu.  We have already filled an adoption form and have had a terrier before (named Cosmo, he was from the SPCA).  Having a terrier was great!  I really think that our current dog (Spots, also from the SPCA) would love Kota and be good company for him.
Let me know if this can work.
    Thank you
    Danica

    Danica,
I so hope you are the chosen one to give this little guy a loving home and a big brother like Spots ! ...  I wish I could… I know my Kalie (adopted from Animatch 7 years ago) would think of him as a mini her… for that’s exactly what he is !!!  And M’Lady would just think of him as her baby…. but 2 dogs is just about all I can afford at this point…. Money comes my way, I’ll be extending invitations to a doggy farm, as so many of you seem to share my dream… G’day y’all !
    Furriest regards !

    Dear Danica,
Maybe try sending an email directly to Animatch…You might have better luck ....not sure if they check back and forth comments such as these daily…  No response yet could mean Helen is low on volunteers during this vacation stretch too… and she’s overloaded more than likely…  such a brave and kind heart this woman… Best of luck to ya and Kota.. I have a couple of G.Shepards angels up there working their tale off to make this happen !
    Keep me posted !  dagalzni@hotmail.com

I agree with you! Time to get a house in the country, with a nice sized backyard so all the doggies can run around and play, and enjoy the fresh cool air! Kota is a cute little honey bunny! I’m shocked he has not yet found his forever home! He is a smiley little guy, and has a cool hairdo, too!

Quick question - i wrote to Animatch about Kota, was really interested to get the lovely little boy for my son. He looks just like our little Kiwi we lost last year and it was his dog. They replied to me that i wasn`t certain that i would end up with him. My question is, we are asked to fill out a form for a specific dog..so why is it that we are not (matched) with him or her? and yes it does take a long time to get a reply…just saying…

As mentioned many times on this site, the first step in the adoption process would be to complete an adoption form.  As noted on Kota’s bio, he is not recommended for children under 12.  Kota is a nervous little dog who would better suit an adult family.  The form gives you the opportunity to tell Animatch about yourself (i.e. experience, children, time away from home, etc.) which then let’s us know if your family might be a good choice for the dog you are applying for.  If you are not a good match for the dog you have applied for, then we keep your name on file. You did receive a reply very soon after you sent an e-mail; however, we have not received a completed adoption form.  Animatch’s client is our dog—we are looking for the right home each one of our adoptees..
