I am at Formation Intervenants Canins, a training facility which is located at Auberge Zen in Laval. Alain and Virginie, who run the training centre, agree that I am a real terror, oops I mean terrier! If you have the experience and like the terrier personality, I have the potential of being a super dog. I really like it here because I am not only exercising my body but using my mind—very important for terriers! So, if you think I am the dog for you, fill in the form and maybe we can hook up. My trainers will definitely vouch that I have the potential of being a very nice dog for the right family.
Blue is my name and I’m a Terrier through and through! Yup, I like to hear myself talk so no apartments or condos for me. I am four years old and I was another unclaimed treasure who spent some time at the pound. I need a family who will commit to me for the rest of my life. Although I get along with other dogs, I am not all that interested in them. I am not totally trusting of all humans, so I need an experienced guardian who will have time and patience. Obedience training classes would go a long way in boosting my confidence; plus, it would be a fun way to hang out and bond with my new guardian. I will need regular daily exercise—I love a good long walk and would even be a great hiking partner. I would like a home where the children are older and know how to treat a dog properly. Life threw me a curve ball but I am ready to move on. I know that with the help of my adoptive home, I can be the dog that you have been looking for. After two weeks of waiting and no answer we thought that Animatch didnt selected us for Blue ( maybe because we have a 5 years old at home ) We went at the SPCA of Sherbrooke and fell in love with a little Norfolk terrier named Rooki! He was abandonned because of separation anxiety but that didnt stop us. We are proud parents of this little furbaby now! Actually, he barks and cries for about 5 min when we leave and then stop so no real separation anxiety there! Im checking everyday and waiting to see if somenone adopt Blue he looks like a sweetheart and I hope he gets a good furever home!

Often Animatch will err on the side of caution with pound dogs and little kids just because they don’t have a history of the dog and the want to be sure your children are safe.
Blue seems like a real sweetheart who will be loving and loyal to the family lucky enough to adopt him.

However, you did say in your post “after two weeks of waiting`. One of our Volunteers who does telephone interviews, spoke with you on March 4th and at that time, you let us know that you adopted from the SPCA.

Hi Joanne, We adopt our little Rouki the same Weekend Animatch called us. Unfortunaly for Blue it was too late :(. I really thought they didnt selected us so I started looking to other rescue place that week. Eventually we will adopt another one to keep company to Rouki but for now he’s already a lot to handle ( Im watching every dog whisperer episode..i will be his pack leader someday..I hope! )

P.s Debbie I’ll send some pictures of Rouki to you, even the vet was not that sure about the breed, people on the street always stop me to ask what breed it is, eveybody’s really curious because he’s so cute!
Hi Steph and Gab - if you like the dog whisperer (I am a big fan too - seen all the epsides at least 6 times each LOL), you will really enjoy Maitre chez soi with Mathieu Lavallée on Canal vie (4h du matin par contre alors il faut un pvr ou vcr). C’est un gars de chez nous! He’s amazing and deals with just regular dog issues but in a very humane way and he has some episodes just for puppies. He won’t work with the choke collar or any method that involved pain or fear for the dog. Also, if you are really interested in Rouki’s genetics, Kiko dog rescue has a DNA kit they sell to help raise funds to pay vet expenses - $50 I think. Good luck with Rouki - he sounds like a great dog!
Awww, I really wish i could adopt little Blue! Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to have a dog :( otherwise I would have filled out an application already. I hope whoever gets Blue takes great care of him and shows him lots of love!

Hi Franco…what great taste you have. Blue is a sweet little guy who has worked really hard to become a good canine boy. He certainly deserves a wonderful home.
Animatch is run by volunteers. The most effecient thing to do is fill out an adoption application and ask about Blue at the appropriate space and someone will call you if they determine you are a great match for Blue.
I have two Animatch adoptees and could not be happier…good luck and keep us posted!!!
Can believe this dog is still not adopted. He;s cute and has gone through training that many would spend the money to do. Really if I didn’t have my 3 dogs I would get him. I think he needs new pictures as it doesn’t reflect what he really looks like.

I have sent mine 1 week ago and left them 3 voice messages and still no news, it is somewhat frustrating as I would like to hear a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ or at least something from them.
