A Yorkie x Maltese Female named Begonia

Begonia here and I am one of the puppy mills dogs who most recently found freedom. I am a Yorkie x Maltese. Lucky for me at six months old, I did not have to endure those conditions for years like some of the other dogs. Any time in a puppy mill is unbelievably stressful. I am one of those dogs who have not let my past define me – I’m full of spunk and so ready to move on. The fact that I have lived in a cage for the six months of my life means that I am just learning to be a real dog. So far I’ve discovered that my favorite pastime is running and playing. I am having so much fun with my furry friends from the mill. I’m also getting used to cuddles and belly rubs. You must know that I don’t come toilet trained—that is not a priority in a puppy mill—so you must teach me how that works. I have some catching up to do but would love nothing more than a special human who will help me be the fun-loving dog that I was meant to be. I would do best in a home where I am not alone all day – I am a puppy and I’ve been isolated and alone far too much; now I need socialization and lots of human contact. Thanks to Debbie D., our Volunteer groomer, who gave me a bath and brushed me as you can see on my before and after photos. She is the cutest thing…. since I lost both my dogs (a bichon frise 15y old and a Havanese 11 y old) last year, we adopted an other Havanese. We are trying to limit ourselves to one dog… be reasonable… I get real sad when I see all these little white balls that are waiting for a good home…. this one has the greatest haircut. Is Debbie D a professional groomer ? I would trust her with my Havanese in no time.
