A Boxer Female named Becky

I've got so much love to give.Adoption is the only way to go.I can do the Boxer wiggle for you!

Becky is presently Adopted

Becky is a beautiful, three-year-old, Boxer who has not been given the basic care that all dogs deserve.  A dog is not a one-time-investment!  Dogs suffer injuries; get sick, need vaccinations and part of a guardian’s responsibility is to ensure that their pets get the veterinary care they need.  Yes, it can be expensive but that is what people sign up for when they adopt a dog.
We don’t have much history on Becky but we now know that the large bald spots on her body are a result of demodex which was confirmed by a skin scraping.  Demodex is a result of a microscopic mite that penetrates the skin, destroying the skin in patches.  The inability of the immune system to properly function is what causes the problem.  Becky is finally on medication and this will need to continue for a while.  Stress does tend to compromise a dog’s immune system so her new home should be prepared to provide this beautiful girl a safe and loving home with good food, fresh water, daily exercise, and last but not least lots of TLC.

Becky is an active dog who gets along well with other dogs.  She is extremely affectionate and sweet.  To know Becky is to love her; she is very trusting and forgiving.  If you would like to make a huge difference in a dog’s life, please fill in the Adoption Form
..

Oh, she is lovely!  My husband’s favourite breed…maybe we make a swap for our Loni (Ronny)?  Just joking!  When I see these dogs I want to buy a lot of land and adopt them all!

Poor, poor Becky…It sure looks like there was some blatant negligence here. This OBVIOUS problem would raise an alarm in any responsible dog owner. MITES, oooooh, gross! Sweet Little Becky, glad that you are finally on meds and undoubtedly, your new family will be more vigilent regarding your care, basic and otherwise. I am sure that Animatch will find you a perfect home! Good luck!

My black lab had skin mites when I got him as a puppy.  He went through treatment by the vet and the condition went away, his hair grew back.  He never had another skin mite problem for the rest of his life and he had a beautiful jet black shinny coat.

Poor sweet Becky…... if only eyes could talk - I have such mixed emotions when I see cases such as Becky’s.  I could type all day about irresponsible owners - wish at times I could borrow a voodoo doll - give the owners a sample of their own medicine.  But…... Becky is now in the hands of Animatch - we all know that she will find her true and forever home here.  They will make darn sure of this.

Hi!  Including Flax seed oil in Becky’s diet might be helpful for her coat! :o)

I am happy to anounce that Becky will be going to her new home tomorrow.  We have had 2 boxers and love this breed, Becky will be very spoiled, I have already been shopping for her (new bed, pink collar, name tag, new fancy bowls) and tomorrow after picking her up we’re going shopping for a hoodie or t-shirt to keep warm and safe from the sun.  As of tomorrow her name will be “Bella” and she will have a new life with her new family!.

That’s super!  Congratulations.  Yesterday, I was working at the computer at the center and she came up to me for some hugs and kisses.  She is a sweet, gentle lady.  You have a gem there.

congrats to Becky’s new family!! I am helen’s daughter, I first got Becky from a garage that was giving her away,  because she was not a good guard dog !?! I kept her at my place for a little while till animatch had room for her, i knew she would be in good hands. I am now verry happy to hear that she has a good caring familly to love and pamper her dearly, she deserves it. She is such a sweety!!!
