With love from Tigger

Hi everybody -
Just want to let you know that on July 17th, my mom and I will be celebrating our third anniversary together. My mom still logs onto your website every day checking the progress of other doggies at your center. I am attaching my latest picture, actually taken today. Aren’t I a handsome little darling?
Thank you again, Animatch, for all the wonderful work you do. It’s all due to you that both me and my mommy are so happy together .. and yes she spoils me a lot !!!! But I’m worth it…
Sometimes when my mommy has to leave town, I get boarded at this wonderful place that has lots of other doggies. The owner told my mom the other day when she picked me up, that he wished all the dogs were as easy to take care of as I am. My mom was very proud !!!
Wishing all my friends at Animatch a wonderful summer. And to the doggies still waiting for a furever home, your day will come - the right family for you will show up eventually, and your life will become “perfect” - just like mine
With lots of love,
Tigger
(and his mom Cathy)

Well Hi Tigger: Like your Mom, I too check on a daily basis the furbabies being adopted - furbabies waiting for their OWN FAMILY - and of course Fan Mail.
Three years ago, I didn’t know Animatch existed but Camy ( Flirt when at Animatch) sure changed that !!. I am very happy for you little one and congrats to your Mom Cathy for going the adoption way.
Camy’s picture is a few pictures down from yours., if you want to see what she looks like. I sent a few pictures over the past two years. We adopted Camy on March 29, 2009. So glad that you have found your furever home. Lots of good wishes sent your way.
Hi Camy’s Mom - I read your postings regularly and often sit at my computer nodding my head in agreement. I saw the recent pic of Camy probably on the day you sent it in; she is adorable.
I too didnt know Animatch exisited until a work colleague of mine told me about their website. My “special needs” dog had crossed the Rainbow Bridge in April 1998 and in June I started checking the website. And voila, in July 1998 Animatch received a group of four chihuahas from a backyard breeder (I wonder how the other 3 are doing). When I saw Tigger’s face on my computer screen, it was love at first sight. I had already done my research previously on breeds and saw that “chihuahuas” best suited my lifestyle. I’ve had dogs since the age of 10 - all were adopted; in those days only the SPCA provided that service. Anyway, of all my dogs (and I’ve loved each and every one of them and vice-versa, and never ever surrendered any) Tigger has proven to be THE most amazing one and the easiest dog. He’s also the first adult dog I’ve adopted, and that in itself was such a rewarding experience partly due to the fact that I didnt have to deal with all the “puppy stages” again. ( I am no longer in my 20’s, - au contraire, LOL).
My best wishes to you and Camy for a wonderful summer.
Cathy and Tigger
I always love seeing Tigger’s sweet face .... those four little Chis who came into the Centre very frightened turned out to be four of the nicest little dogs. I’m happy that you have one of them.
Camy’s mom, I just realized that the years in my note to you should read 2008 and not 1998. I was obviously having a senior moment when I composed that email to you, LOL..
Thank you very much for your comment - Camy has put on weight since we adopted her - she is still a petite Yorkie but no longer bones lol.
We live in New Brunswick so we had never heard of Animatch until the day Flirt’s picture popped up on my laptop. We lost our Mill Mum on Feb12/09 ( she suffered a stroke - there was nothing our family Vet could do but to help her cross over). We were still grieving - had no thoughts of adopting but we believe Q had a hand in this adoption. Like I said, I was looking for something else on the Web then Flirt came and my laptop just closed down on me. This picture haunted me and I couldn’t find where this little dog was or how I even got that picture. Then, it clicked that if I checked the history I could go back to that picture hopefully. I searched the previous weeks and there she was. I clicked on the back arrow and found she was at a place called Animatch. I read their comments - read that I could apply online. I told my husband most probably they wouldn’t adopt out of Province but Flirt’s eyes kept pulling at us. So, we filled and the rest is history. We drove 8 hrs to get her - an overnite in St. Jean sur Richelieu and another 8 hrs to come home. Camy travels very well - she is my husband’s shadow and is very attached to our senior Yorkie Belle. All Belle has to do is cough and Camy is next to her. I dread the day that Belle crosses over for Camy will be very lost without her mentor. Belle is 12 years old now and has slowed down an awful lot. Small breeds tend to have heart problems - we carry Belle up stairs - everywhere where an effort other than her regular exercises is needed. We go for our daily walks - Belle walks one way and if we see she is slowing down; we carry her to come back. Sometimes, Camy will sit down, if we carry Belle well she wants to be carried too.
Our adopted furbabies are very special - each and everyone of them help us heal - help us in a time where we need them the most.
The time to save is now. When a dog gets a bone, he doesn’t go out and make a down payment on a bigger bone. He buries the one he’s got.
