We are perfect for each other

I have been in my new home for one month and am feeling so much better! My name is Katie now (not much of a difference is it ?!) and I have a new outlook on life! I used to think something terrible would happen if I entered or left anywhere so my human (her name is Madeleine) has taken me on many many walks and in and out of many buildings, homes and such until I learned that it was OK. I can’t even remember why I was so scared!
I have a nice yard to call my own and many friends to play with at the doggy park. I sleep in a crate still and am having less and less accidents. Madeleine tells me I am very smart, especially at obedience class. I like going and I even like doing the homework. My leg is TOTALLY better now. I can outrun dogs 3 times my size! That’s because I am light on my feet although I have gained weight which is a good thing. I am looking better and better as my fur grows back nice and fluffy for winter.
Thank you so much for telling Madeleine that I was a good dog for her and her family. You were right! I fit right in. I love going to the country with them, hiking, walking in the woods and Madeleine is training me to run with her. Maybe I can run a marathon!!!! I am energetic, very affectionate and I do somersaults when I am happy. I still barely bark (so undignified…) and don’t destroy anything.
Thank you all for having taken me in and thank you for letting me adopt Madeleine and her family. Truly. We are perfect for each other.
