Update from Millie (formerly Gaia)

Hello friends at Animatch, it’s been over one month since I moved in with my new family. It was a seamless transition, I settled in as though I’ve lived here all along. I especially like my new big sister Zoey, (she’s much bigger than me, but I’m older and wiser). I also have a feline sister, Maggie, but she pays absolutely no attention to me.

My new family is still getting to know me. I am indeed a cuddly, affectionate, sweetheart of a little girl, but I have also demonstrated my holy terror (ooops, I mean terrier) side. Since I am part Dachshund, (relentless hunter of badgers), I have decided that Zoey’s cheeks and neck are a great substitute. I like to chomp down on her and hold on for dear life. I also like to try and shake her, but she is too big for me! I am very lucky that my big sister is very patient and tolerant! I also love to run like one of those electronic rabbits that get chased by Greyhounds at the race track. Zoey chases me like crazy, and mommy says that this is very good for Zo’s waistline. Glad that I can help!

I am 4 years old and quite established in my habits, (mostly all good ones). Zoey is teaching me how to sit and wait patiently until mommy says “OK” before I can go to my food bowl. I am starting to get it, but only ‘cause Zoey keeps giving me dirty looks, as if to say: “Come’on Millie, it’s no biggie!

My big sister also looks at me funny when I yelp, howl, whine and scream like a Banshee when someone dares to leave the house without my permission, or even when I am excited to see someone coming or another doggie passing by my house! My family thinks it’s comical, but I am sure that Zoey is saying: “What the heck is your problem, Millie?” I swear I don’t know what HER problem is, I could teach her a thing or two…like how to snuggle in mommy’s arms like a little baby, or jump up on laps and give lots of little wet kisses, or make happy little grunting noises that make my family smile! That’s where I WIN, paws down!

In conclusion, I am keeping my new family very amused and delighted. I really think that they love me, A LOT!!! So, on that note, thanks again to Helen and Joanne, I think that it is safe to say that this is indeed another PERFECT MATCH!
