The new Lucy (Extra)

I wanted to send along a picture of the new and much improved Lucy (Extra). For the many of you who followed her story on the website and Helen and Joanne - you would not recognize this dog now. Talk about a turn-around in a dogs life. Lucy has been groomed, health checked and is absolutely fine since her sterilization. She now greets people at the door, comes to them to check them out, brings toys to them to play and wrestles endlessly with Charly. She has been giving Charly a workout each morning as she races around our home snatching up toys and playing keep away and tug-a -war with Charly. She rarely has “accidents” in the house and loves to explore the yard. She now walks well on the leash and has the courage to let me out of her site while she explores in our yard. She now comes to us the have an ear or belly rub and knows where the treat cupboard is and when feeding time is. She is small compared to Charly but not small on charm. Hearing that Lucy is learning to enjoy being a dog is such great news. I think it is such a boost for all Volunteers to get feedback from our adopteess when they are in their new homes. Thanks for keeping in touch.

PS Charly is one handsome Schnauzer!

Je suis tellement contente de voir que la maman de BOCA(Hazen) est trouv�e un foyer , remplie de joie de vivre et d amour.En regardant la photo j ai bien vue que BOCA ressemble a sa maman. Bravo et merci encore ANIMATCH. BYE BYE

That is absolutely wonderful to hear!! I was so touched to read Extra’s story because we also adopted a puppy mill survivor schnauzer. Extra reminded me so much of our Lulu. Enjoy your good life Lucy, the one you deserve and congratulations to your new family. You must be making them very happy
