Wow, amazing! Nice to see a dog from rescue proving that they have just as much heart and talent as any other dog. Lucy/Extra did a wonderful job with her babies. At least we know that her last litter of pups are all safe and loved in their homes. And, Mom is retired and living the good life in her furever home.
I just showed Lucy this picture
It truly brings a smile to my face. How wonderful for Sophie to have such a life. I still cannot believe how big Sophie is and how light in colour. When I asked our vet why Lucy is so small he did not want to tell me but eventually said she could only grow as big as her confinement allowed. She is a wonderful dog and we think of Animatch almost every day and thank them for saving her and her puppies so we could have so much joy.
The pups that I see are all taller than Mom, who is quite petite, and all are very beautiful dogs (and so is Lucy) Your Vet is probably right but Lucy’s life has changed so much that all her days are happy ones because she feels loved and secure.
When I was picking out a puppy from Lucy’s litter, I wanted the biggest one because she was going to be an athlete! As for her colour, I’ve never had her “stripped” so maybe that’s why she’s lighter. I just love this picture because it shows her natural Schnauzer tail!
Her tail is the part that looks like Lucy’s colouring:) You may remember Lucy was very brownish when we adopted her but once all her matted hair and dirt were gone we found a black and grey schnauzer underneath it all. Love seeing pictures of her pups. Lucy has made great friends with our neighbours minature daschund. This is the first dog (other than her step-brother Charly) that she has not ignored and shied away from. She initiates the play and they seam to have a great time together.
