Rizzo

Hi all! Just wanted to give you a brief update on Rizzo.
Rizzo has be re-christened Rico by our 5 year old and since Daddy was all for it, Rico it is. Hes seems to be doing very well. He follows my husband everywhere and when he’s not available, Rico is under my feet! He’s a quiet fellow, but holy hell can he howl when he’s not happy!
He did NOT enjoy his crate last night. After about a half hour I took him out and brought him to bed with us. By 6am this morning, there were two adults, one kid and two furbaby’s in a queen-sized bed. Today when we left to run errands, we penned him in the kitchen with his bed but when we got home, the gate was down and he was upstairs in our bed. He has made his needs and wants very clear to us so our bed is now his as well.
Rico and our Sam seems to be getting on okay. There are some low growls and suspicious glances, but so far so good.
Still a ton of work to do and loving to give. He just seems so sad and hates being alone. It breaks my heart. Hopefully soon with lots of hugs, love and snuggles, he’ll stop being timd and somewhat scared and be as carefree as our other furbaby is.
But boy oh boy, are we ever in love. Adopting Rico was one of the best decisions we’ve made as a family!
Raquel

Hello Raquel! Thank you for the news about Rico. He seems very comfy… Big or small, they really do know how to get what they want, hey? I wish you a lot of love and happy moments together!
So nice to see Rico relaxed. He’s probably catching up on all the sleep he lost while he was at Animatch. He looks very content. I know that in no time at all, he will feel comfortable and happy in his new home.
Congratulations Raquel! So happy for you! Rico looks so peaceful in his comfy bed. May you enjoy this doggie for years and years to come, or in your own words, until his last breath~
Raquel what’s the use of having a Queen size bed if you can’t fill the darn thing
haha…. We did the same with our adoptees from the day we adopted them… first nite at Hotel both Camy and Kody were in bed with us… neither didn’t want to sleep in their crate. Guess it’s security they hunger for and security is what they got. Congrats… Rico is a gem - hope you have many many years of loving this precious little man.
