News from Rocky, now Taxi

Dear Animatch,
I’ve been living with my new adoptive family for 7 months now. I have to say, at first, I was worried and it made me do all kinds of things like pee inside, chew my owner’s shoes and even have little asthma fits. But now, it’s allll good! I love taking long walks outside with my owner and I’m slowly learning how to walk without pulling the leash too hard.
I even have a canine roomate. Her name is Daisy and she’s 12. In the beginning, she wasn’t so sure she’d like me but now we’re BEST buddies. She used to sleep all the time and now she plays with me a few times a day. She told me that my presence gave her her youth back! So, in return, I take good care of her: I lick her ears and eyes clean. My owner took a picture of us both.
I want to thank you for taking such good care of me when I was at your shelter for 2 weeks this summer. My owner was really impressed with your organization and always does a good advertisement to people around her.

I forgot to mention that Taxi was on the left and Daisy on the right.
Taxi looks great - happiness is being loved / having a best buddy. Our adoptees will bring back the joy of life for our Senior furbabies that’s for sure. We adopted Camy ( Flirt ) last March yep already a year on the 27th !!!! She brought back life to our Senior Yorkie Belle, who was just moping around after our other Senior Yorkie passed away. Thank you for spreading the word about Animatch - I do the same but we live in New Brunswick and not everyone will drive that distance + an overnite. God Bless for reaching out to a rescued animal.
Thanks Camy’s Mom! I do my best to spread the word around about how fabulous this rescue center is!
Thank you both for having the patience and perseverence to go through the initial little problems that go along with adopting a dog. Adopting is the first step, the second is never giving up on them again!
Once you open your heart and home to a furbaby; giving up on them - never in a million years….... how can you part with a member of your family. Only death can do that - and it’s not something you want neither .... I still have Lady Q’s ashes - my family are aware they are to be placed with mine, when my time comes.
As both of you are saying; adopting a dog is like adding a new member to the family. I would never give up one of my children if they had a recurring problem. I would seek advice to help us solve the problem. Why people think differently about an animal is still a mystery to me!
