Jake is doing great

Jake (Action’s new name) is doing great. He has gained weight inspite of all the exercise he gets plowing through the snow. He’s smart and obedient and learning new commands. He doesn’t like being left alone in the house, just like the first Springer we had. He comes back promptly when called but occasionally disappears when he gets on a fresh rabbit or deer track. I used to hunt rabbits with both my previous Springers. They would be back in five or ten minutes. This guy is more like a beagle. It may take an hour or so before he shows up again. I willhave to work on that. I wish I had had a high quality field type Springer like him as a pup twenty years ago when I was still doing a fair bit of upland game hunting.

Anyway we are really enjoying our new companion.

What a beautiful dog, he looks just like my Field Springer Spaniel/Brittany from a rescue.
They are wonderful dog full of life & 100% devoted to our family. Strider loves children….it is too bad that people do not rescue these dogs more, they are so happy & loving. All they want to do is please you.

Hope you enjoy your Springer as much as I do.
