I’m quite content cuddling and getting belly rubs

Penny here (formerly Speedy). Thought I’d send you some pictures of me in my new home. I now have a new big sister, Abbie (12-yr old toy poodle) and 2 big cat brothers, so I’m surrounded by love. Living in a house with someone who loves me is a whole lot better than living in a garage making babies. There is a lot of new stuff to get used to though, and I’m starting to realize that the carpet is not the place to do my business. Thank goodness Janet is patient but firm, cause I sometimes forget to wait until I’m outside. I used to cower whenever she approached me to pick me up (memories of my former life), but I am learning that she will never hurt me and I want so much to trust her. I’m so glad my days of living in a garage are over and I can run and roll in the soft grass in Janet’s backyard. I’m not crazy about going for walks, as I nearly jump out of my skin when a car goes by. So we are taking that very slowly. For now, the backyard is just fine with me. Janet is also trying to teach me something called “playing”, but I’m not quite sure what I’m supposed to do. It looks like fun, but for now I’m quite content cuddling and getting belly rubs. Thank you Helen and friends at Animatch for finding me such a wonderful new home.

Penny has now settled into the household routine like she has lived with us forever. She is no longer the skittish, nervous little gal who came to me a little over a year ago. She and Abbie (now 13 yrs young) are best buddies with Penny taking a “motherly” role is looking out for Abbie when they go out into the backyard.
Penny has definitely found her furever home and I can’t imagine life without her.
