Duchess Kate (Mia)

Little Mia spent most of her life in a puppy mill, so we thought it only fit to give her a new name that would reflect her new position in life. Duchess Kate (Duchess or Dutchie for short) is doing very well. The fur is growing back on her ears and she is coming out of her shell little by little.

As you can see, she likes to cuddle with Stella (another Animatch doxie). In fact, her quiet attitude has had an effect on Stella who plays mom to Duchess, often cleaning her fur and scolding her for bad behaviour. We all have a great time going to the park together and get a lot of “ohhs” and “awwws” from on-lookers. Yes, we’re a lucky pack : )

Thank you Our other dachshund, Stella, likes to run but Duchess can’t always keep up. She’s very glad she can hitch a ride with the baby… or is it the other way around.
