Ahh! Home at last
After a rough start in life she is finally home.
Her Animatch name was Kenza, but her new name is “Shotzie”, which, in German, means “little treasure”. We adopted her after Christmas and she now lives with us in the country with a big fenced yard. Shotzie has a big sister named Piper who is helping her get settled…not that she needs it. She made herself right at home the moment she walked through the front door. Shotzie has a big basket of toys that she likes to stick her head into and find the squeakiest ones. She is so funny, cute and playful that we haven’t stopped smiling since we adopted her. As you can see, she has claimed her spot on the couch and is loving every minute of her new home.
Thanks to the folks at Animatch for the wonderful work they do, and for hooking us up with our new little treasure.

I’m so happy for you, Shotzie! Your new name really suits you~Enjoy your new family. Congratulations to all!
Every furbaby should be as lucky….. Congrats to you Shotzie and your people family…. may you have a long long long life full of LOVE….. little one.
OMG What a fantastic update. Shotzie could be my Raggzy’s twin…I fell in love with her the second I saw her profile. So happy it is such a perfect match…enjoy!!!!
All the best in 2012!!!
I am SO happy kenza was adopted!! whenever I worked at the centre she would stand out (as all the dogs do in their own individual ways). she is a sweetheart - enjoy her!!
Looks like she made herself at home very quickly. I’m sure she is happy to be living in a less hectic environment. Shotzie is such a sweet girl.
Update: We’ve had Shotzie for almost three weeks now, and we just can’t get over how much fun she is. We’ve never had a dog that LOVES toys and playing so much…she’s a real character. We’re all developing “pitcher’s arm” from playing fetch so much. She’s quick at learning tricks too. She still needs some leash time, but at -25, it’ll have to wait til we can get out for longer walks. Looking forward to many years of smiles and laughter from our little, vertically challenged Shotzie.
